Cooperative Significance

Most people want to feel significant: at home, at work, in their community, etc…. But you cannot feel significant alone in a field. You need others. A person can fake success, but they cannot fake significance. Discovering what is important and interesting to other people is more important now than ever before. This program is designed to educate and inspire anyone to make relationships a priority while learning to lead and influence others.

Being and influential leader at work and beyond is something everyone desires, but leadership is more than a job title.  Leading is about connecting with the people who you want to follow you. There is not way to be effective if you forget that every interaction you have is with another person.  All people come into relationships with their own “stuff” and we must honor the entire person if we want them to be all that they can be at work and in life.

Learning objectives:

  1. Understanding exactly what it means to be significant.
  2. How to connect with others at work.  Professional relationships are not always the same as friendships, but there are similarities.
  3. How to treat others in a manner that shows respect, even when you disagree
  4. Why the way you are seen by others matters to your effectiveness.
