David Perez is the Founder of Lumen Insurance Technologies, an Austin based commercial insurance firm serving the technology startup ecosystem. Lumen helps early stage companies navigate corporate risk at the major inflection points in a startup’s journey. David specializes in Cyber Liability, Errors & Omissions (E&O), Directors and officers (D&O) and other complex lines of coverage relevant to his clientele. His clients span a wide range of new technologies such in areas such as Fintech, InsureTech, Quantum Computing and data analytics.
David is a Co-Organizer of the InsureTech ATX Meetup, a mentor at MassChallenge TX, and serves as an advisor to several startups. David is a military veteran and served over 6 years in the Airforce as a nuclear weapons officer. He went to Texas A&M and has an M.B.A. from Colorado State. David lives in Austin with his wife and three kids.
