When I turned 50, I made a proclamation: I was going to make age 50 to 75 the best years of my life.

I started looking at this stage as my “Prime Time”. And now, several years into the journey, I can tell you… it hasn’t always been easy. There have been plenty of stumbles, doubts, and course corrections. But I remain excited to keep pushing forward into what I call The Season of Significance.

To help frame this era, I’m working on a new series called “The ABC’s of Your Prime Time”… a way to think about how we can all thrive between 50 and 75. Here’s my first pass at the A–Z:

A – Authenticity | Being true to yourself matters more now than ever.
B – Bravery | Taking risks keeps us alive and engaged.
C – Connection | Relationships are the real wealth of life.
D – Discovery | Stay curious, keep learning, never stop exploring.
E – Energy | Protect and prioritize your physical and mental vitality.
F – Freedom | Define life on your own terms.
G – Gratitude | A thankful heart changes everything.
H – Humanity | Lead with compassion and empathy.
I – Impact | Use your wisdom to make a difference.
J – Joy | Celebrate the small and big moments with a full heart.
K – Kindness | A simple act can shift a person’s whole day.
L – Legacy | Think about what you’re building that will outlast you.
M – Meaning | Focus on what gives your life true purpose.
N – Nourish | Care for your body, mind, and relationships.
O – Opportunity | Keep your eyes open for what’s next.
P – Playfulness | Don’t take yourself too seriously and have fun.
Q – Quality | Choose depth over volume in how you spend your time.
R – Reinvention | It’s never too late to start fresh.
S – Serenity | Find peace and calm in the chaos.
T – Transformation | Growth happens when you lean into change.
U – Understanding | Seek to know yourself and others more deeply.
V – Vulnerability | Openness creates trust and connection.
W – Wisdom | Share what life has taught you so far.
X – Experience | Every path you’ve walked has shaped you.
Y – Yes | Say yes to possibility, adventure, and growth.
Z – Zest | Live with enthusiasm and a spark for what’s next.

This is the lens I’m using to shape my own Prime Time. And my hope is that others at this stage of life will also lean into the idea that 50 to 75 can be the richest, most rewarding years yet.
